6. ADOLESCENCE PROGRAMME HELD FROM 3.1.08 to 13.1.08 in which story telling quiz, lectures by experts from near by colleges, parents advocacy for IX and XI skit performed by students in front of VMC members.
AWARNESS RALLY ON SAVE ENERGY HELD ON 4 JAN 2008
Awareness rally on save energy was held at Rai market Ambala by primary students and teacher Ms. Harminder Kaur Suri on 4th jan 2008.People were made aware of energy saving tips.
REGIONAL SCIENCE EXHIBITION
REGIONAL SCIENCE EXHIBITION held at KV 2 Chandimandir wef 26th to 27th Aug, 2007. Six students participated in it in the themes namely, Cater and disaster managenent, Energy Resources, Educational Technology, Food and Agriculture, Mathematical Modelling.
In the category of TEACHING AIDS a model on EDDY CURRENT , CURIE TEMPERATURE won third position. this model was prepared by Alok Srivastav PGT Physics
WORKSHOP FOR PGT (Comm.)
Three days workshop w.e.f 10 - 12 Aug, 2007 for PGT(Comm) was held at K.V.-1,Ambala.Mrs. Sham Chawla, Principal, K.V-1, Ambala precided over the function. Guest Lecturers from various colleges of Ambala were invited.
ANNUAL FUNCTION
Annual Day was celebrated in our
Vidyalaya Campus on 27-04-07. Brig. K.Majumdar,
Commander PH & HP(1) Sub Area & Chairman, Vidyalaya
Management Committee, graced the occasion by presiding over the
function. On the auspicious occasion of Annual Day celebration of
K.V-1, Ambala Cantt, Principal Mrs. Sham Chawla had
proud privilege to greet the distinguished guests from the station
& KVS. She accorded a warm and hearty welcome to all and
expressed her heartfelt gratitude for their gracious presence which
had infused confidence in us & boosted our morale. Mrs. Reena Majumdar agreed to give away the
Prizes. Master Nishbinder Singh of class XII
Science topped among all Kendriya Vidyalayas at Ambala Cantt by
getting 91.2 % marks. Jyoti Yadav of class X got
0.1 certificate in Social Science, were awarded on Annual day. Mrs. Samriti Sehgal, PRT of this Vidyalaya was
owned for receiving incentive award 2006. The Vidyalaya is gaining
momentum. A splendid Cultural show hypnotize the audience. The show
ended over a vote of thanks by Vice-Principal of the Vidyalaya Mrs. Santosh Kharbanda.

DAY CELEBRATIONS
Independence day & Republic Day were celebrated
with great zeal & fervour. Various cultural items were held and
sweets were distributed among the students.
HINDI FORTNIGHT
CELEBRATIONS
Hindi fortnight was celebrated from 14 th September
to 28 th September, 2006 and various competitions like Hindi
debate, Essay writing competition, calligraphyetc. were
held and prizes were given to the position holders.
TEACHER'S DAY CELEBRATIONS (05.09.06)
Portrait of Dr. Radha Krishnan was garlanded by
Principal & a cultural function was held in the Vidyalaya.
Students acting as substitutes for teachers managed the working of
the Vidyalaya.

ADVOCACY PROGRAMME FOR PARENTS (15.02.07)
As a follow-up of the Adolescence Education Programme, in the
next phase a one day advocacy program was conducted for parents.
About two hundred parents, thirty five students and six teachers
participated in the programme. Many points were discussed and
suggestions made to the parents viz. – Who are Adoloscents? ; Health; Diet; Life Skills; Self-awareness of the
students; Problem –Solving; Decision Making; Planning and Goal
Setting; Effective Communication; Growing-up Process; Emotional and
social Change; Substance Abuse.
FOUNDATION DAY – GRANDPARENTS DAY (15.12.06)
Foundation day was celebrated in the Vidyalaya with great zeal
& fervour. It was celebrated as ‘Grandparents Day' and
grandparents of primary students were invited to grace the occasion.
Brief cultural programme, ‘Talent Hunt – solo item open
competition', was organized in the Vidyalaya.
